They may not be affected by the pests or diseases that affects control the main plants.

Weeds reduce farm productivity, they invade crops.
They aggressively compete for water and nutrients, resulting in reduced crop yield and poor crop quality.
Weeds can also cause human health problems.
Some weeds can also cause skin irritation and some are poisonous.
